The Association for Downloadable Media is getting its act together and preparing to take it on the road. This week, the group held a live bi-coastal meeting in San Francisco and New York, linked together and augmented as a live webcast on BlogTalkRadio.
Without getting into excessive detail, the group is proceeding towards the tough and necessary part of the job: defining the important measurement standards for downloadable media - standards both for the technology and for meaningful audience measurement. Defining those standards will be key to turning podcasting and vodcasting into solid and profitable businesses, rather than a haphazard collection of moderately successful (or not) companies and hobbyists.
I mention all this again because, if you are a professional either working in the field or thinking of moving into it, or an advertising pro, or PR specialist - now is the time to get involved. Be part of the work and help write the definitions. Get the details here.
Great info...thanks for the update Les! Hope all is well...
