Buying Britain?

I haven't had much to say about Microsoft's attempt to absorb Yahoo, and Yahoo's attempts to get as far away from Microsoft as possible - I mean, what's left that hasn't been said? But over at MediaPost's Online Media Daily, George Simpson has written one of the funniest commentaries I've seen yet:

ON READING THAT THE INTERNET will replace television as the biggest advertising medium in Britain by the end of 2009, Microsoft dropped its increasingly hostile bid for Yahoo and has now made an offer to purchase the United Kingdom.

It's a great read for a Friday afternoon. And, hey, where else are you gonna find this kind of stuff? When news breaks, we'll try and fix it for you...
