The Innocence of Father Brown

There are few characters in detective fiction who have remained popular for nearly a century - a distinction held by G. K. Chesterton's character, Father Brown. He is a Roman Catholic priest whose knowledge of human weakness, combined with an understanding of evil, allows him to penetrate the fog that so often surrounds crime. He uses his knowledge to solve these mysteries; where others see impossibilities, he sees clarity and simplicity.

This week's "Classic Mysteries" podcast is an introduction to Father Brown's world, through the dozen short stories in "The Innocence of Father Brown." You may link directly to this episode, or you are welcome to subscribe to the series, pasting the URL into iTunes or any other podcatcher.
